Section 25- Midnight BeginsThe more she waited, the slower time moved, proving her earlier theory right. Being in this place was like stepping into a time vacuum where a minute was a day was a lifetime. Lara was exhausted from her classes and her training but sleep was the farthest thing from her mind.
Damien, Damien, Damien, it sang in a constant refrain. The anticipation had been building for the three days, seven hours and fifty-six minutes since she'd found his note. It was about time anyway. Section 24- ReflectionThere was a scar on her wrist, Lara noted as she studied the gray, cotton sleeve of her sweatshirt. She couldn’t remember for the life of her how it had gotten there. Tiny as it was, it seemed deep enough to have been more than painful. It couldn’t have hurt that bad, though, she argued with herself, tracing the eensy little line with her left index finger. If it had made any sort of impression on her nervous system, caused her to cry, or maybe even made her grouchy for a few days, it would stand out in her mind like the last five months did. Section 23- BlameThe room was different. The previously pale yellow walls had morphed into a horrendous brownish white. If the bad guys hadn’t come and taken over in some weird back to the future showdown, this was surely another sign of the Boss’s sad sense of style. The unchanged white floor and the uninviting atmosphere brought Lara back to reality. When the Boss’s unwavering glare met Lara’s eyes, all other options flew right out of the huge window that seemed centered on the rectangular wooden desk.

So I've not been active on deviantart since, well, ever, and probably nobody's reading this. However, here's me saying hey. I'm attempting to revive my poor little story because it's really the only thing keeping me on here. I also really believe that my characters need the story to keep going. They're not even fully developed and since I don't know what I'm doing I'll just have to write them to death to get better at it. Lara's back and I really need to give a reason for the fact that Kel's codename is Kel... All the others kind of make sense, don't they? I swear it was an accident that the others even remotely mean anything.
